I would drop the wolf scouts to begin with. .. then eliminate some war gear from the. Wolfguard

I'm bringing 1500 points of Orks tomorrow to finally give the new rules a test drive. Yes, I have fliers. No, please, don't stop complaining. I think that new rules or no, we need to keep playing with "big boy" sized armies. See you there!

I am going to be too confused having no book etc, hence me looking for tiny point games. 1500 would be way too boggling on me xD I bet some others may be up for a 1500er though.

275 Logan Grimnar ( i have his Axe head ill get to you) 270 5 Wolf Guards terminator armour 2x storm bolter thunder hammer 2xThunder Hammer storm Shield 1x Twin wolf claws (important to note they count as troop with Logan on the table...) 150 10 x Grey hunters 1x flamer 1 x plasma gun (buy flamer first and plasma is free) 175 10 x Grey hunters 1x flamer 1 x melta gun (buy flamer first and melta is free) + 1x power fist 35 Rhino Transport ( give it to the melta fist squad so they can move out to hunt tanks if needed) (also not Grey hunters come with bolter bolt pistol and close combat weapon buy default) (that's 3 troop at 1500 points that should be good) 100 5 Wolf scouts 1x plasma pistol 1x melta gun 180 5 swift claw bikes 1x power fist +1 swift claw attack bike with heavy bolter 130 6x Long Fangs 2 Heavy bolters and 3 Rocket Launchers 105 Dreadnaught with Assault cannon
1420 gives you a little wiggle room could drop a bike and add a rune priest or drop a Grey hunter and try to squeeze a 15 man blood claw squad in....

I made a 1500 nid list. One question though. Does it cost anything to take the new powers? Eg Do I have to buy powers with my Tervigon and then switch? I want to do some experiments with MC devourers. Blarg so many things I want to try and cant fit them in lol. I have to see if I can make it out tonight too.

That looks like a damn good list shawn! Although, since I've been working on this all week, I figure I may as well give it a try anyway. What do you think about trying to fit a pack of fenrisian wolves? I feel like it could be good, but in any case I just seem to have a soft spot in my heart for them haha.

When it comes to Marines, if its not +3 or +2 no one takes it, yet I can still see use of the fenrisian wolvies... just because I am used to using horde tactics. It's like me running Gargoyles in front of my Hormagaunts. You would have your on foot CC guys with the wolves in front for a cover save and anti charge screen. The thing that makes this not as good with your army is that you have transports.
If you want to play fluffy and fun, yeah use the wolves, but I dunno about tournaments.
I can also come tonight, though I will be there around 6, because of wonky schedule lol
So with powers... I buy my Terivigon one of her powers and I can trade it for Biomancy? With the Hive Tyrants two default powers I can trade in for two separate abilities or take something twice to re roll the power or something like that?

Like sara pointed out the fenris wolves would make a great screen or support unit for the swift claws. they also work well to support thunder wolves or sky claws...

Hey Darren, could you post your exact list for the batrep?
We had an Orks vs Tyranids 1500 point game. We only got turn two finished and we tied score wise. Loving the new changes to 6th so far, especially the psychic powers and the new fearless in CC.

I wont be coming tonight. The heat is just too much, and I can't eat for 14 hours because of blood work. Don't want to risk passing out.
