Just wanted to get this started. The first post will be a general compilation of ideas for league play in the area.
A) More sportsmanship style events.

Competitiveness in 40K has me in a meh mood due to ridiculous imbalances, but its one of the only times I get to see you all. If it's generalship aka just win it all, then I probaly wont be interested. If its was more sportsmanship type list making, then I would be more interested.

So, as per Sara: - More "sportsmanship" style events. Care to elaborate on format at all?

Arg hard to explain, but I noticed at sports events lists aren't retardly cheesy and people add some more variety to their unit selection. Just would be better to mix things up a bit and not support the usual tournament gameplay that's always the same dumb thing.
I am not against hard lists, but some things just get out of hand due to the way GW updates their armies. When other armies feel like they cant do crap against the usual tournament setting they get a bit discouraged. I just cant stand the current setting, and I wonder if others are getting board and discouraged too because of it. Yes I like to compete, but the usual tournament cheese is just stale and forces you to play the same way each time. The parking lot melta game is getting very lame.
House rules wouldn't be too bad either, eg you have to be out of a transport to capture an objective, 5 up cover etc.

I am hoping the upcoming IG veterans box would be a good way to build a Necromunda gang as they are getting harder to find at reasonable prices. Could make for a fun game for limited play space and time. I always found it a fun game that played fast and the xp and added skills made it never the same gang each time I started over. At least with all the rules sets a free download and public, you save a bunch on that end. I can hardly wait to see what's going to be on the play menu for Hot Lead this year. I would really like to try out x-wing and maybe even see how battletech has changed since the last time I played it.
